Structure of down clothing and down sleeping bags.
Malachowski Alpine Workshop has been on the market since 1977. The workshop uses the most advanced technology in down sleeping bag production.
X CHAMBERS- QUILTED – the simplest method of chambers structure; two layers of fabric are sewn directly with one another; used in products with small amount of down filling. There a special “cold seams” where two fabrics are joined together.
H-TYPE CHAMBERS – two layers of fabric are combined with one another by means of spacing tape, which allows to eliminate the thermal bridge phenomenon. It is the most widely used method in construction of down clothing.
VARIO STRUCTURE – a system combining synthetic insulation with down insulation. Synthetic insulation forms a barrier layer, thus protecting down filling inside against moisture. The solution offers better insulation characteristics under variable atmospheric conditions. Insulation characteristics of down decrease drastically when it is damp or wet.
Z CHAMBERS – a variation of H-type chambers with shifting of lower and upper layer of fabric in this solution. The cross – section of chambers has a rhombus shape.
V-TYPE CHAMBERS – two layers of fabric are combined with one another by means of the additional third layer of material, combined with two external ones in the shape of the letter V. In thermal respect this solution is better than the one with the application of H-type chambers.
