Down Care Instructions

Malachowski and Cumulus down sleeping bags require specific care to maintain their respective qualities. Malachowski Alpine Workshop are using the highest quality, self renovating European goose down (750 to 820 cuin). This down is used in production of the most extreme mountaineering and polar down sleeping bags, down jackets, suits and accessories.

Care instructions:

Unpack your sleeping bag as soon as possible and allow it to loft for few minutes. Store your down sleeping bag in the large storage sack provided. We recommend using the compression sack only while on the move.

If the down sleeping bag gets wet, it is important to treat it carefully as the weight of the wet down can damage the construction of baffles.

Washing instructions:

  • Secure Velcro and turn sleeping inside out
  • Maximum washing temperature 30°C
  • Use only special down washing detergents
  • Do not use chemical solvents and bleach
  • Gently lift down sleeping bag out of the water not to destroy baffles construction. Use both hands and basket to lift bag out of the water.
  • To dry the down sleeping bag, place it in an airy, flat space, and not on direct sunlight. Pat dry bag occasionally to separate the down.
